Guideline for Abstract submissions

Selected participants will have the opportunity to present their current research. Abstracts will be considered for either oral or poster presentations.

It is preferred if registration occurs before submitting an abstract, but given the unprecedented times, we appreciated that this is not always an option.

  • Abstracts should focus on unpublished material.
  • 350 word count limit.
  • Select/indicate your presentation preference, oral or poster presentation.
  • Include all authors and affiliations in submission, including the submitting author, and any co-authors.
  • Your abstract will be imported directly into the abstract book, so please follow the format indicated on the form.
  • Submit your file in word or in openoffice writer.
  • All abstracts must be submitted and presented in English.
  • Abstracts submitted after the deadline may not be included in the abstract book.

Please prepare your abstract using our templates (Word .doc/docx or OpenOffice .odt) and rename them as follows: name_surname_DNATVM2022.doc (or .docx or .odt). Then submit your abstract via the abstract submission page (Now Closed).

Review Procedures

  • All submittals are reviewed by the scientific organising committee.
  • Any oral submissions not chosen for an oral presentation will receive a poster presentation.
  • Authors will be notified of abstract acceptance by May 24th, 2022.

Oral Presentations guidelines

  • PPTX file prepared in 16:9 format ready
  • Please remember that all talks must be loaded onto the meeting computer on the day before your scheduled session; personal  laptops are not encouraged (if specialized software is needed on your own laptop, this can be managed)
  • An AV technician will be available to provide any assistance you may require.
  • If your presentation is on Monday, July 25, please load it as soon as you arrive after registration
  • Kindly remember that the first slide of your presentation must be your name and presentation title, followed by the disclosure slide. You will need to address the disclosure at the beginning of the presentation. If you have nothing to disclose, please add “No Disclosures” to the slide.
  • We recommend that you label all slides that include unpublished data with a title: “UNPUBLISHED DATA-DO NOT COPY OR DISTRIBUTE”.

A short programme will be sent out within the next two weeks.

Poster Presentations

  • Posters should be no larger than 2m (height) and 1m (width). The poster boards are this size in portrait orientation.
  • The posters will be displayed for the entire conference. Please aim to put your poster up as soon as possible after Registration and take it down before the last session.
  • Posters should be displayed for the duration of the meeting and can be put up during the afternoon of Monday 25th July after Registration. Please remember to take them down before the start of the final session on Friday 29 July.
  • The poster presentations are divided into two sessions (I and II). You will be notified of your poster session by July 12th at the latest
